The Montblanc M is made of Montblanc’s iconic black resin and features an innovative magnetic cap-closing mechanism automatically aligning the cap with the Montblanc emblem embedded in the ‘plateau’ of the writing instrument. The fountain pen has a hand-crafted Au585 / 14 K gold nib, rhodium plated with ruthenium-plated inlay. For the launch edition of the foundation pen, the Au585 gold nib bore Marc’s initials.

The collection consists of fountain pen, rollerball, ballpoint pen, screenwriter and art fineliner.

“My original thought on receiving this brief was to craft a pen that I would always want to use, and our priority was to make the product more easily accessible to a wider demographic.  I love the instant communicative effects of a pen on paper.  I thought it would be a meaningful thing to make people remember the nuances of this fading experience. It’s important to remember how to see and work in the world with an analogue mind.”
