In 2015, the year of Hennessy’s 250th anniversary, the Maison chose to pay tribute to James Hennessy, the eldest son of the Maison’s founder, Richard Hennessy. To celebrate the new blend, the Maison invited Marc to design the anniversary decanter.

“The design is very ergonomic and feels comfortable to hold. I introduced a depression on the front and back of the carafe below the bras armée so it is easy to handle… the depression has an oval shape that is a key characteristic on all of Hennessy’s carafes – an important part of the Hennessy DNA. The depression, although practical, also gives the carafe a certain personality and playfulness.”
