The Murrina White & Blue table is a delicate and densely patterned blue and white piece of solid glass supported by aluminium legs, forming a large table or desk. Employing the decorative murrine technique, the tabletop is made from fusing together hundreds of short glass rods in a large kiln. For the Murrina White & Blue Table, the sheet is cast as a flat piece, while in the 2019-2020 series of Murrina pieces in red and yellow, the glass sheets were then ‘slumped’ or thermoformed over moulds to create seamless desks, consoles, and tables.
