Marc was asked to design a range of stove tops and ovens for SMEG, a company defined by their technical sophistication and long experience in enamelling, a process which Marc sought to incorporate into his product range. The design was driven by a search for maximum clarity: not overly hi-tech or minimal, Marc sought to create rational and robust appliances. Offered in a wide range of enamelled steel colours, including yellow, celadon green and blue, the range also featured a choice of bronze, black or silver fixtures and fittings.
