Japanese-speaking qualified Architect

Marc Newson is one of the most acclaimed and influential designers of his generation. He has worked across a wide range of disciplines, creating everything from furniture and household objects, to bicycles and cars, private and commercial aircraft, yachts, various architectural commissions, and signature sculptural pieces for clients across the globe.
Job description:
- Involvement in RIBA Stages 1-4 of high-end architectural projects (exterior-focussed) in Japan
- Help create Architectural Concept Designs and support the successive Technical Design development
- Coordinate work with Tokyo-based clients’ team members
- Potential travel to build sites (Japan)
- One-year fixed-term contract with the potential for an extension
- Full-time role based in our Central London studio (NB: this is an in-studio role rather than a hybrid or Work From Home position)
General Requirements:
- Qualified Architect with 4-10 years’ work experience including luxury architecture projects (residential or commercial) detailed in portfolio.
- Past experience in RIBA Stages 1-4 essential, with preference to candidates who have Stages 5-6 as well.
- Must be punctual, proactive, and conscientious working across geographies
- Impeccable attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Good time management skills; delivering work on time and to a high standard
- Fluency in English; fluency or business proficiency in Japanese
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK/sponsorship not available
Technical Requirements:
- High standard of proficiency in AutoCAD; skills in both 2D and 3D digital design process a plus
- Excellent Adobe CS skills
