Marc designed the Lunar Rock edition for Taschen’s rerelease of Norman Mailer’s seminal tale of the Apollo II story. Each of the 12 copies, numbered 1958 through to 1969, came with a specimen of lunar rock ranging in weight from 0.4 grams to 30.34 grams.

The ‘module’ that holds the book accurately represents a precise area of the Moon's surface, whilst the domed case, inspired by a scientific specimen container, houses the twelve lunar rocks. The dome provides protection from oxidation and showcases the specimen, allowing it to be admired from all angles.
