The semi-solid frame of the Bumper Bed is made of polyurethane foam blocks wrapped in leather held by a leather strap, allowing for seating.

 “Most people I know have at some point in their lives slept on a mattress on the floor. So, I thought it would be nice to design a bed that would make people like me want to replace their faithful mattress with a ‘beautiful bed.’ It was a very playful conceptual exercise, related to the transformation of a bed into a boxing ring or a large life raft."
