Fragrance Bottle

Louis Vuitton launched a collection of fragrances in 2016, the first since 1946, forming a new product category for the house. Marc was invited to design the bottles and packaging, while the scents were created by Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. Clean lines of glass emphasise absolute purity of the bottle design, featuring the fragrance name in vivid black lettering above the discreetly engraved Louis Vuitton branding. The black cap stamped with LV initials in brass recalls antique bottles whilst concealing an atomiser. The bottle is refillable and is also available in coloured glass to coordinate with new scents.  As well as the 100ml and 200ml signature bottles and the miniature collection, the design brief included a travel set. Marc’s novel design features a travel spray and four extra cartridges featuring a magnetic closure which fits instinctively into the main atomiser.

“I wanted to create a signature fragrance bottle- something that was distinctly Louis Vuitton. Classic, elegant, and timeless. The finished product is tactile, pure and reminiscent of something subconsciously familiar.”
