Like many of Marc’s works, the Horizon wristwatch makes reference to the ‘event horizon’ in astrophysics, the edge of a black hole and the moment when gravity becomes infinite, when both time and space disappear. Its reference to the mathematical end of time and space underscores the poetry and fleeting nature of timekeeping itself.  The unique dial creates an optical illusion of appearing convex, thereby emphasising the three-dimensional volume of the case.
